Mumbai, October 19, 2026 – Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff had a narrow escape on Sunday evening when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his BMW car near Pushpa Park in Juhu, Mumbai. The actor remained completely unhurt, while his driver and another person sustained injuries in the attack.

What Happened in the Tiger Shroff Firing Incident?

The incident took place around 7 pm on October 18 near Pushpa Park under the Juhu police station limits. Tiger Shroff had just finished playing football, a routine he follows every Sunday, and was leaving the ground when three motorcycle-borne assailants arrived.

According to police and eyewitnesses, two of the men opened fire at the actor’s vehicle while the third waited on the motorcycle. Multiple rounds (reports range from three to five) were fired within seconds. A viral video of the chaotic scene has been circulating widely on social media.

Tiger Shroff escaped without any gunshot injuries. However, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who later met the actor at his residence, confirmed that Shroff suffered minor burns from gunpowder and glass shards on his hand and shoulder.

Who Was Injured?

  • Driver Firdaus (Firdosh): Sustained a bullet injury to his left hand. He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital and is out of danger.
  • Umesh Chavan (also referred to as Chauhan): An auto-rickshaw driver standing nearby was also injured and taken to Cooper Hospital.

Reports suggest Tiger Shroff himself took control of the steering wheel and drove the injured driver to the hospital after the attack.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility

Shortly after the firing, a Facebook post and voice note surfaced in which Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, took responsibility for the attack. They alleged that Tiger Shroff had ignored earlier warnings and issued threats to others in the film industry associated with Salman Khan.

Mumbai Police have stated that the authenticity of this claim is still under verification.

Police Investigation and Latest Updates

  • Mumbai Police have formed 15 special teams to investigate the case.
  • One suspect has been detained from the Santacruz area.
  • The motorcycle used by the attackers was found abandoned near Andheri (West) railway station.
  • CCTV footage of the suspects has been recovered.
  • Forensic teams examined the vehicle and collected empty shells from the scene.
  • Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti to conduct a thorough probe.
  • Deputy CM Eknath Shinde visited Tiger Shroff at his home and assured full support, stating that the government will not allow a return of 1990s-style gang wars in Mumbai.

Jackie Shroff’s team confirmed early on that “Tiger is okay.” The actor returned home under heavy police protection. His sister Krishna Shroff and actress Disha Patani also visited him.

Why This Incident Matters

The attack has raised serious concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai. Industry bodies, including the All India Cine Workers Association, have condemned the incident, noting a series of previous threats and attacks on film personalities.

Police are currently examining whether the attackers had prior knowledge of Tiger Shroff’s Sunday football routine.
